Welcome to Dean Parish Council


Dean Parish is located between Cockermouth and Workington and is made up of six villages.

The Parish Council is served by 12 councillors and meets bi-monthly. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Branthwaite

Branthwaite is a village in Cumbria, England. The hamlet is approximately 5 mi (8 km) from Workington and 7 mi (11 km) from Cockermouth. It is located just outside the Lake District National Park

Deanscales is a hamlet in the county of Cumbria, England.

Eaglesfield

Eaglesfield is a village in the parish of Dean in Cumberland in Cumbria, England. It is near the A5086 road, 2.5 miles (4 km) southwest of Cockermouth and is located just outside the Lake District National Park

Pardshaw

Pardshaw is a village located about 3½ miles south-west of Cockermouth. To the north-east of the village are Pardshaw Craggs, where Quakers held open-air gatherings before Pardshaw Friend's Meeting House was built in 1672.

Ullock

Ullock is a village in located approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) south west of Cockermouth and 5.4 miles (8.7 km) south east of Workington. The River Marron flows through the village.
